Mattia Ghidini was born in Brescia in 1987. He moves to Milan in 2008 to find his way in life and matriculates himself at the Interior Design course at the Milan Polytechnic where, in 2011, he graduates gaining full marks. His main ambition was, and nowadays still is, to follow through the designer’s activity freely. After a few researches, he decides with other young artists to dedicate himself at the opening of a laboratory room, in order to give vent to his manual and planning creativity.
“To think as designers, to prototype and produce as craftsmen” (Uncut_Studio)
This slogan translates the freelance’s figure the designer belongs to. Through Uncut Studio, a fresh and rich of ideas space, Mattia Ghidini creates objects which directly bear throughout their direct prototyping. In each work the designer likes best essentials and clean lines, but at the same time he tries to reverse their normal perception. Mattia Ghidini concentrates a lot on the production of design objects, some conceptuals, some others more referable to serial productions. In the meanwhile of this laboratory work, the designer follows several projects of interior design, finding this way a chance to take advantage of the experiences acquired in this years.
